Landguard Fort is a most astounding feat of architectural engineering. A place packed full of fascinating military history by design. Home to wonderful panoramic harbour views. A lost-in-time world full of discoveries, where the maze of rooms and tunnels tell their own stories alongside engaging exhibits. Landguard Fort doesn’t just have something for all ages and interests, it’s a great value invitation for everyone to share.

Mission

Landguard fort is run by the Landguard Fort Trust, a registered charity dedicated to sharing an important historic monument with the public. By arrangement with English Heritage, the Trust look after all aspects of conservation, maintenance and open the site to the public. Volunteers are what make the fort tick and without them, it would not be possible to care for and be in a position to share this historic monument.

What donations support

Conservation of a nationally important Grade 1 Listed Ancient Monument. Funds raised help us look after and improve the site and allow us to open for the public. We love working with the local community and hosting events which we could not do without the support of the local community.
